D-AIMC carries MSN 044, delivered to Lufthansa on 25 August 2010 after its first flight on 15 February that year. On 2 September 2010 — the date of its first commercial flight to Beijing Capital International Airport — the aircraft was formally named "Peking," making it the first Lufthansa aircraft ever christened with a non-German city name. The naming ceremony took place on the tarmac in Beijing, marking what the airline publicly described as a symbol of China's strategic importance to the Lufthansa network. The fuselage carries "Peking" on both sides of the nose, accompanied by Chinese characters reading "北京."

Livery & Visual Details

The model wears Lufthansa's classic Old Livery: white fuselage, deep-blue vertical stabilizer carrying the yellow circle Crane badge. "Lufthansa" lettering appears in deep-blue on the forward fuselage below the cockpit windows. The A380's characteristic blended winglets are present at both wingtip ends. Four Engine Alliance GP7200 nacelles are rendered in medium grey.
