1:400 Diecast: Lufthansa Airbus A380 D-AIMB "München" New Livery (YY Wings YY38001)

D-AIMB carries MSN 041, first flown on 22 January 2010 (test registration F-WWAF) and delivered to Lufthansa on 16 July 2010. Christened "München," the aircraft bears the name of Lufthansa's southern hub. Stored at Teruel (TEV) from May 2020, D-AIMB was retrieved in early 2024 for a full D-Check maintenance cycle in Manila, returning to Munich wearing Lufthansa's 2018 New Livery. Lufthansa has concentrated all eight reactivated A380s at Munich Airport, making D-AIMB the nominal flagship of that redeployment.

Livery & Visual Details

White fuselage, white nacelles on all four Engine Alliance GP7200 powerplants. "Lufthansa" in deep-blue below the cockpit windows. Deep-blue vertical stabilizer with white Crane badge inside a white circle — the New Livery scheme that replaced the Old Livery's yellow circle. White horizontal stabilizers. Characteristic A380 blended winglets visible at both wingtip positions. Twin rows of passenger windows run the full fuselage length across both decks.

Model Craftsmanship & Collectability

YY Wings YY38001 in 1:400 diecast alloy. The same mould is available as YY38001F in flaps-down configuration. Released to market in approximately September 2025, the New Livery variant supplements earlier Old Livery A380 releases in the YY Wings catalogue.
