1:400 Diecast: Lufthansa Airlines Boeing 747-400 D-ABVH "50 Years Boeing & Lufthansa" (YY Wings YY74412)

D-ABVH, MSN 25045 (Line Number 845), was delivered to Lufthansa on 3 April 1991 and named "Düsseldorf." In May 2010, the airframe was repainted to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Boeing–Lufthansa partnership — a relationship traced back to the airline's first 707 delivery. The livery remained on this hull for approximately 18 months. D-ABVH was retired on 12 July 2015 and subsequently scrapped in 2016, making this one of the last schemes it wore in commercial service.

Livery & Visual Details

White fuselage throughout. The forward fuselage reads "Lufthansa" in deep-blue, followed by an arc of twelve blue stars below — a reference to Star Alliance membership alongside United Airlines. A large gold "50" dominates the mid-fuselage, with "YEARS in Partnership with Lufthansa" in smaller text beneath. Aft of the wing, the fuselage lists the Boeing types operated over fifty years: BOEING 707 727 737 747 757 767 777 787. The deep-blue vertical stabilizer carries the classic yellow-circle Crane badge. Classic raked wingtips, four PW4056-series nacelles in grey.

YY Wings item YY74412 renders the standard-configuration (flaps up) version of this anniversary livery in 1:400 diecast alloy. A flaps-down companion piece (YY74412F) is available separately. The mid-fuselage type-list graphic — spelling out all seven Boeing variants in sequence — is one of the more detail-intensive panel applications in this mould family.
