1:200 Diecast: Xiamen Airlines Boeing 737 MAX 8 B-1289 (NG Models XM64121)
B-1289 is Xiamen Airlines' second Boeing 737 MAX 8, delivered in 2018, following the carrier's first MAX (B-1288) which arrived on May 23, 2018. XiamenAir was the launch customer for the 737 MAX in China, and the early deliveries in this series — B-1288 and B-1289 — marked the beginning of the type's Chinese domestic commercial service. The aircraft is powered by CFM LEAP-1B engines, the exclusive powerplant for the 737 MAX family, replacing the older CFM56 series. B-1289 carries the standard XiamenAir current livery.
The model renders Xiamen Airlines' livery on the distinctive MAX 8 airframe. The fuselage is white with a solid blue stripe running from the cockpit to the tail along the lower fuselage. The vertical stabilizer is fully blue, carrying the XiamenAir white bird logo — a stylized heron or egret in flight. Chinese characters reading "Xiamen Hangkong" appear in black on the forward fuselage above the blue stripe, followed by "XIAMENAIR" in the airline's current logotype. The key visual difference from the older 737NG fleet is the MAX 8's distinctive winglet design: split-tip fins that angle both upward and slightly outward, in white matching the nacelles, replacing the simple blended winglets of the prior generation. LEAP-1B nacelles are white and slightly larger in diameter compared to CFM56 cowlings. The model is depicted in flight configuration with gear retracted.
