The "old colors" designation in NG Models' product line refers to Xiamen Airlines' previous livery scheme — the version that predates the airline's current branding refresh. That livery has become a collector reference point as XiamenAir systematically repaints its fleet, making the older scheme progressively harder to see on active aircraft. NG Models produced NG64117 specifically to document this period of the carrier's visual identity on a 737-700 frame.
