D-AIMH (MSN 070, test reg F-WWSG) was delivered to Lufthansa in July 2011 and named "New York"—a designation it carried until mid-2024. MSN 070 is the 52nd A380 ever delivered. Like other Lufthansa A380s, D-AIMH was placed in storage during the COVID-19 grounding and returned to service as Lufthansa aggressively reactivated its superjumbo fleet from late 2023 onward, basing the aircraft primarily at Munich (MUC) for Frankfurt–New York and Munich–New York JFK routes. Engine fit is four Engine Alliance GP7270s—the GP7200-series powerplant used on Lufthansa's A380 fleet.

Livery & Visual Details

The model carries Lufthansa's current livery: all-white fuselage with dark blue tail fin. The Lufthansa yellow crane in a yellow circle is centered on the tail. "Lufthansa" in dark blue appears below the cockpit; "AIRBUS A380-800" in smaller dark blue text is positioned beneath it. The city name "New York" appears on the forward lower fuselage in dark blue, accompanied by the city's heraldic crest. "lufthansa.com" and the registration D-AIMH with a small German flag appear mid-fuselage below the window line. Wingtip fences—the large upturned winglets characteristic of the A380—are reproduced in white. Four engine nacelles in light grey with dark intakes. The upper and lower passenger decks are reflected in two rows of windows along the fuselage.
