D-AIMA is Airbus A380-841 MSN 38, delivered to Lufthansa on May 19, 2010 — the carrier's first A380 ever received. On delivery, the aircraft was officially christened "Frankfurt am Main" by Frankfurt's then-mayor Petra Roth, inaugurating Lufthansa's tradition of naming its A380 fleet after German cities. D-AIMA stored during 2020 and returned to service in April 2025. As MSN 38, it is one of the earliest production A380s still carrying Lufthansa titles.

Livery & Visual Details

The 1:200 model presents Lufthansa's classic livery: predominantly white fuselage and wings. "Lufthansa" in dark blue script covers the forward fuselage; "AIRBUS A380-800" and "lufthansa.com" appear in smaller dark text. Registration D-AIMA with German and EU flag decals is visible on the rear fuselage. The navy blue tail fin carries the Lufthansa crane in a yellow circle. Upward-curved blended winglets are reproduced on the four-engine main wings. Four engine nacelles — two per wing — are light grey with dark grey fan blade interiors; no chevron exhaust nozzles.
