JA823J is a Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner, MSN 34833, line number 21, ferried from Everett to Tokyo Narita on 28–30 August 2013 on delivery to Japan Airlines. The aircraft operates with GEnx-1B engines — one of the two engine options for the 787 family. In May 2024, JAL repainted JA823J in a special livery for the 2025 World Exposition in Osaka, Kansai.
