1:200 Diecast: China Southern Cargo Boeing 747-400F B-2473 (SQ Wings L2076)
B-2473 is a Boeing 747-41BF freighter operated by China Southern Airlines, carrying MSN 32803. The aircraft first flew on May 16, 2002, and was delivered to China Southern in mid-2002. B-2473 served alongside sistership B-2461 (MSN 32804) as one of only two 747-400Fs in China Southern's cargo fleet. The pair represented the carrier's sole widebody dedicated freighter capability before retirement. Both aircraft were withdrawn from service in 2017.
Livery & Visual Details
The model displays China Southern Cargo's livery: white fuselage upper surface, a bold blue horizontal cheatline running from below the cockpit to the aft fuselage, and a solid blue vertical stabilizer with the airline's red Kapok flower logo. "CHINA SOUTHERN CARGO" in blue appears on the forward fuselage, with Chinese characters below. Registration B-2473 and "BOEING 747" are printed in blue on the aft lower fuselage. The four engines have white nacelles. Winglets feature blue outer surfaces matching the tail. As a freighter, no passenger windows are present along the main deck.
Model Craft & Collectibility
Produced by SQ Wings at 1:200 scale, item number L2076, cast in diecast metal with display stand. At 35.34 cm length and 32.22 cm wingspan, this is the same dimensions as sistership L2077 (B-2461), making the two a natural pair display. The model captures the 747-400F's characteristic upper deck that stops short of a full stretch, distinguishing it visually from the 747-8F.
