The Boeing 747-8 Intercontinental is the final production variant of the 747 family and the longest commercial aircraft Boeing has built. The 747-8I entered service in 2012, featuring a fuselage stretch over the 747-400, a redesigned wing derived from the 787 program, and GEnx-2B67 turbofan engines. Boeing's house demonstrator livery — used on the manufacturer's own aircraft at airshows and in promotional material — presents the type in a white-and-blue wave scheme that references the 787 Dreamliner visual identity.

Livery & Visual Details

Upper two-thirds of the fuselage is white; the lower section carries a deep navy blue that flows in a wave pattern with thin light-blue horizontal lines. The Boeing logo in white and the text "INTERCONTINENTAL" appear on the lower fuselage. "BOEING 747-8 INTERCONTINENTAL" is printed in silver on the forward section. "747" in large white numerals occupies the sky-blue vertical stabilizer. GEnx engine nacelles are white with metallic intake lips; GEnx logo markings are visible on the engine nacelles. Raked wingtips — the smoothly curved upswept tips of the 747-8's redesigned wing — are visible at wing's end. Four engines, two under each wing.
