1:400 Diecast: Thai Airways Airbus A320-232 HS-TXG (Phoenix PH12044)
HS-TXG carries MSN 5806, an Airbus A320-232 with Sharklets (designated A320-232WL). The aircraft left Toulouse on October 24, 2013 on ferry flight THA8906 via Dubai, delivered to Thai Smile — the low-cost subsidiary of Thai Airways International. In October 2023, Thai Smile's operations were absorbed into the parent carrier, and HS-TXG transitioned to full Thai Airways livery and routes.
Livery & Visual Details
The model wears the full Thai Airways International livery: white fuselage forward, "THAI" in purple script on the cabin. The rear fuselage and vertical tail are rendered in deep purple, the tail bearing Thai's stylised gold orchid emblem — a signature of the carrier since 1960. A small Thai national flag appears at the top of the vertical stabiliser. Sharklets rise from each wingtip in purple. IAE V2527-A5 nacelles in white mount beneath the wings.
Model Craft & Collectability
Phoenix PH12044 uses the A320-232WL tooling to include the Sharklet devices. HS-TXG's path from Thai Smile to full Thai Airways service makes this a transitional aircraft within the fleet's re-consolidation story. Diecast alloy with rolling gear.
