OY-KBD is an Airbus A340-313, MSN 368, delivered to Scandinavian Airlines on 30 April 2002. The airframe carried the name "Toste Viking" throughout its SAS career and flew in Star Alliance livery. It operated SAS long-haul routes until retirement on 9 June 2020, stored at Marana-Pinal Airpark in November 2020. OY-KBD was among the last SAS A340s retired as COVID-19 accelerated the fleet's withdrawal — SAS concluded A340 operations entirely on 1 December 2020.

Livery & Visual Details

The model depicts SAS's later-era house scheme: light silver-grey fuselage with "Scandinavian Airlines" in white forward of the wing. The vertical stabilizer is deep dark blue, carrying "SAS" in bold white. A Star Alliance roundel appears on the forward fuselage below the cockpit. Three flag panels — Danish red-white, Swedish yellow-blue, and Norwegian red-white-blue — decorate the upper fuselage behind the cockpit. Four CFM International CFM56-5C4 engine nacelles are rendered in vivid orange — a distinctive SAS livery choice for the A340's CFM powerplant. Winglet tips are dark blue matching the tail. Registration OY-KBD appears on the rear fuselage in black.
