1:400 Diecast: Korean Air Boeing 787-10 Dreamliner HL8515 (Phoenix PH04652)
Boeing 787-10 Dreamliner HL8515, MSN 66878 (line 1152), completed its maiden flight on 23 April 2024 under Boeing test registration N2004S before delivery to Korean Air on 19 July 2024 — the airline's first 787-10 from a 2019 order for ten firm aircraft. The airframe arrived on lease from Air Lease Corporation and entered scheduled service from Incheon (ICN). Korean Air selected the GE Aerospace GEnx-1B engine to power the type across its 787 fleet.
Livery & Visual Details
The model replicates Korean Air's standard Celestial Blue livery. The upper fuselage carries a full-length blue band that meets a clean white belly along a straight cheatline. "KOREAN AIR" runs in large dark-navy sans-serif capitals along the forward cabin windows. The vertical stabiliser displays Korean Air's Taeguk symbol — a stylised blue-and-red circular motif derived from the South Korean national emblem — on a Celestial Blue field. Engine nacelles are white with the Taeguk mark in blue on the intake face. The 787-10 features Boeing's characteristic raked-blade wingtips rather than winglets or Sharklets, a detail faithfully reproduced in metal on this Phoenix release.
