HL7550 is an Airbus A330-322 (MSN 162, first flight under test registration F-WWKK) delivered to Korean Air on March 3, 1997 — making it one of the early PW4168-powered A330-300s in the Korean Air fleet. The aircraft served on long-haul international routes including intercontinental sectors for nearly 26 years before being placed in storage in January 2023. Configured in a two-class layout (C24 / Y252), HL7550 carried passengers across Asia-Pacific, North America, and European routes throughout its service life.

Livery & Visual Details

The fuselage is finished in Korean Air's signature sky blue above a silver-grey stripe at the window line, with a light grey lower fuselage and belly. "KOREAN AIR" appears in bold dark blue on the forward upper fuselage. The registration "HL7550" is visible in dark blue on the rear fuselage, and "AIRBUS A330-300" in small text below the windows. The vertical stabilizer is sky blue, carrying the iconic Korean Air Taeguk logo — a white stylized crane wing incorporating red and blue yin-yang elements — with a small South Korean Taegeukgi flag at the top.
