1:400 Diecast: Etihad Airways Airbus A330-200 A6-EYD "Happy 11.11 / Tmall" (Phoenix PH11448)

A6-EYD, MSN 658, is an Airbus A330-243 delivered to Etihad Airways on 27 May 2005. The aircraft was stored in December 2018 after Etihad restructured its wide-body fleet, having served the carrier for over thirteen years. During active service the airframe received a limited-run campaign overlay on its standard "Facets of Abu Dhabi" base livery, applied to mark China's annual Singles' Day shopping festival on 11 November — a partnership between Etihad and Alibaba's Tmall platform targeting the Chinese market.

Livery & Visual Detail

Base livery is Etihad's "Facets of Abu Dhabi" scheme: warm sand/beige fuselage with geometric triangular and trapezoidal panels in brown, gold, and cream on the tail, fading onto the rear fuselage. "ETIHAD" in gold lettering with its Arabic equivalent "الاتحاد" directly above, and the slogan "FROM ABU DHABI TO THE WORLD" below with Arabic translation beneath. Registration "A6-EYD" aft. Campaign overlay: the upper fuselage above the wing carries red text with Chinese characters reading "双11快乐" on the port side and "庆祝双11快乐" on the starboard — described in English as Singles' Day celebration messaging. Engine nacelles are white with a red box on the intake cowling carrying further Chinese characters reading "天猫超市" (described in English as "Tmall Supermarket" branding). UAE flag near the cockpit. Wingtip fences characteristic of the A330-200 — neither sharklets nor classic winglets. Two underwing engines, white nacelles with dark metallic exhaust cones.

Phoenix Models 1:400 diecast metal, item PH11448. This campaign overlay livery has no equivalent in Etihad's subsequent fleet — A6-EYD entered storage before any further special schemes were applied. The combination of the Facets base livery with the Tmall campaign graphics makes this a single-event documentary model.
