EI-TLJ is an Airbus A320-231 (MSN 257) painted at Shannon Airport, Ireland, by TransAer International Airlines before departing on a two-year lease to Cubana de Aviación in November 1998. The Irish-registered aircraft operated for Cubana on routes between Cuba and Canada, carrying the joint "TransAer Cubana" branding that marks wet-lease arrangements where the operating carrier's crew and aircraft serve under another airline's IATA designator. EI-TLJ returned from the Cubana lease on March 29, 2001, subsequently transferring to Indian Airlines as VT-EVP.

Livery & Visual Details

The livery is a joint scheme combining TransAer and Cubana identity. White fuselage base with a dark navy blue cheatline below the window row that sweeps toward the tail. The vertical stabilizer displays diagonal stripes of dark blue, white, and red angled upward from front-bottom to rear-top. Engine nacelles carry the same tricolor stripe pattern on the fan cowlings. "TransAer" appears in stylized light-blue text on the forward fuselage, with "CUBANA" lettered below in bold sans-serif. Registration EI-TLJ is aft with a small Irish tricolor flag beneath it. Sharklets are fitted with blue and red emblem on the outer face. Two under-wing engines with standard circular exhaust nozzles.
