1:400 Diecast: Air France Airbus A340-313 F-GLZS (Phoenix PH12063)
F-GLZS is Airbus A340-313 MSN 310, delivered to Air France on 23 December 1999. The aircraft served the carrier for roughly 18 years before entering storage in July 2018 and being scrapped in 2019. As an A340-313, it flew four CFM56-5C turbofans across long-haul routes out of Paris Charles de Gaulle — a type Air France retired entirely as the wide-body fleet shifted to twin-engine jets.
Livery & Visual Details
The model wears Air France's classic late-1990s livery: an all-white fuselage, "AIRFRANCE" lettered in large dark-blue capitals on the forward upper fuselage with the red accent chevron immediately following. The vertical stabilizer carries the diagonal tri-color ribbon — wide dark blue, narrow white, medium red — converging toward the fin apex, with a small stylized roundel at the top. Four engine nacelles are white with metallic-silver intake lips. The A340-313 is equipped with upward-curving classic winglets. Landing gear is extended.
Model Craft & Collectibility
Phoenix produced PH12063 in diecast metal at 1:400 scale. The A340-313 mold renders the characteristic slim fuselage and widely-spaced quad-engine underwing layout accurately. Collectors focused on Air France fleet history or CFM56-5C-powered long-haul types will find MSN 310 a verified example of the late-delivery -313 batch.
