1:400 Diecast: Air Canada Boeing 737 MAX 8 C-GEHV (Phoenix PH04633)
C-GEHV is a Boeing 737-8 MAX, MSN 61227, delivered to Air Canada on 1 February 2019 — placing it among the first MAX 8s in the Air Canada fleet. The aircraft's early service was interrupted by the global Boeing 737 MAX grounding from March 2019 through April 2020 following the type's safety recertification process; C-GEHV sat stored during that period before returning to active service. Powered by two CFM International LEAP-1B turbofans, C-GEHV operates domestic Canadian routes and transborder services. Air Canada took delivery of 40 MAX 8s through its original order; C-GEHV MSN 61227 belongs to the early tranche of that fleet.
Livery & Visual Details
Phoenix renders C-GEHV in Air Canada's current livery. The fuselage is white. "AIR CANADA" in black uppercase sans-serif appears above the window line on the forward cabin. The vertical stabiliser is solid black; centred on the fin is a red maple leaf within a black circle, outlined in white — Air Canada's primary brand mark. A smaller red maple leaf logo appears on the forward white fuselage near the cockpit door. The cockpit windows carry a "raccoon mask" effect in black that tapers toward the white nose cone. Engine nacelles are black with metallic silver intake lips and exhaust cones. Wingtips are Boeing 737 MAX split scimitar winglets: the upper section curves upward in light grey, and a lower downward blade extends in black — characteristic of the MAX variant. Registration C-GEHV is printed in black on the aft fuselage accompanied by a small Canadian flag. A small white "871" is present near the top leading edge of the black tail fin.
Model Craftsmanship & Collector Value
Phoenix PH04633 is produced in diecast alloy at 1:400 on the Boeing 737 MAX tooling. The split scimitar winglet and LEAP-1B nacelle profile correctly distinguish the MAX from earlier 737NG models. C-GEHV as an early-delivery Air Canada MAX 8 carries the dual identity of a fleet launch aircraft and a grounding-era survivor — both characteristics that give this specific registration a traceable history beyond a standard fleet number.
