YI-AQZ, MSN 40993, first flew on 19 March 2012 and was delivered to Iraqi Airways on 14 December 2012 — the airline's sole Boeing 777-200LR, acquired to launch ultra-long-range international routes as Iraq rebuilt its civil aviation sector. The 777-200LR variant carries GE Aviation GE90-110B1L engines, capable of range exceeding 17,000 km. Iraqi Airways retired this single aircraft on 15 March 2025 and returned it to Boeing, closing a brief chapter in the airline's widebody fleet history. This model captures YI-AQZ in its Iraqi Airways livery before retirement.
Livery & Visual Details
The model shows Iraqi Airways' livery: white upper fuselage with a sweeping dark green band running the full length of the lower fuselage, widening toward the tail. A row of small bright green dots lines the fuselage below the passenger windows. On the forward fuselage, the airline name appears in Arabic script — reading "الخطوط الجوية العراقية" — and in English "Iraqi airways". The registration "YI-AQZ" is printed aft in white.
