B-16740 is a Boeing 777-35EER carrying MSN 63529, line number 1518. The airframe completed its first flight on 1 September 2017 and was delivered to EVA Air shortly after, joining the Taiwanese carrier's long-haul widebody fleet. The aircraft operates intercontinental routes across Asia, Europe, and North America and became one of EVA Air's most photographed jets after receiving the Sanrio Characters livery, covering every external surface with Cinnamoroll, Hello Kitty, My Melody, Pompompurin, and Kuromi in full colour. Two GE90 turbofans power the 777-35EER variant, each rated above 110,000 lbf thrust.

Livery & Visual Detail

The entire fuselage is white with a dense field of Sanrio characters painted in pink, yellow, blue, and purple. The text "Sanrio characters" appears in pink along the lower forward cabin. "EVA AIR" in dark green lettering runs mid-fuselage. The tail carries EVA Air's green globe-and-star logo on a white fin. Both GE90 nacelles are grey with no chevron treatment. Classic swept-back raked wingtips are visible. Rolling gear deployed.
