B-304U, MSN 52, first flew on October 26, 2016, and was delivered to Sichuan Airlines on October 26, 2018 — exactly two years to the day from its maiden flight. The aircraft entered service as Sichuan's first A350, opening the carrier's widebody long-haul expansion beyond its established narrowbody network. After roughly seven years of service with Sichuan, B-304U was stored in late 2025 and subsequently ferried to Taiwan for maintenance before transferring to China Airlines under the registration B-18920.

Livery & Visual Detail

The model depicts the standard Sichuan Airlines scheme applied during the aircraft's service tenure. The white fuselage carries a broad wavy red stripe bordered by a thin blue line running along the lower cabin section from nose to tail cone. "SICHUAN AIRLINES" appears in blue on the upper fuselage; the Chinese characters reading "四川航空" are displayed in red below and are also repeated on the vertical stabilizer. The tail fin is solid bright red with the airline's circular logo — a white roundel containing a blue stylized bird motif — prominently placed at center. The registration B-304U appears on the rear fuselage and on the wing undersurface. The A350-900's signature raked wingtips are present. Landing gear shown deployed.
