1:200 Diecast: Polish Air Force Gulfstream G550 0001 "Książę Józef Poniatowski" (NG Models NG75020)
Serial 0001 carries MSN 5547, previously registered N547GA during US pre-delivery testing. Poland accepted the aircraft on 21 June 2017 at Warsaw Chopin Airport in an official ceremony. The government named it "Książę Józef Poniatowski" — after the Polish prince, marshal, and national hero. The G550 is operated by the 1st Air Transport Base (1. Baza Lotnictwa Transportowego) at Warsaw and serves as a VIP and head-of-state transport. Its companion airframe, serial 0002, was named "General Kazimierz Pułaski."
Livery & Visual Detail
The model displays the Polish Air Force executive scheme: all-white fuselage with bold red accent striping. A red horizontal stripe runs beneath the passenger windows, widening toward the tail. Red lines accent the vertical stabilizer's leading edge, the winglets, and the cockpit nose ridge. The Polish national military insignia — a white-and-red checkerboard (biało-czerwona szachownica) — appears on the wing upper surface and on the vertical stabilizer. "RZECZPOSPOLITA POLSKA" (Republic of Poland) in red capital letters runs above the window line along the mid-fuselage. Serial "0001" in red on the aft fuselage. Rear-mounted twin engines. Upward-curved winglets at each wingtip. T-tail configuration.
Model Craft & Collectibility
NG Models NG75020 reproduces the G550 in 1:200 diecast alloy. Government and military VIP jet subjects in 1:200 remain a specialist segment; the Polish Air Force G550 with its named heritage and low production-run release combines national history with a rare airframe type in the scale model market.
