1:400 Diecast: Mexican Air Force (Fuerza Aérea Mexicana) Boeing 787-8 TP-01 "Jose Ma. Morelos y Pavón" (NG Models NG59022)
TP-01, also carried the civil registration XC-MEX, is a Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner, MSN 40695. First flight April 9, 2010; delivered to the Fuerza Aérea Mexicana on February 6, 2012, following an extended VIP interior installation. Named "Jose Ma. Morelos y Pavón" after the Mexican independence leader, it served as the official presidential transport under Presidents Felipe Calderón and Enrique Peña Nieto. The aircraft was ferried out of Mexico City in late 2018 to Victorville for sale — President López Obrador declined to use a government jet — and later re-registered as EY-001 for the Republic of Tajikistan.
Livery & Visual Details
White fuselage with a three-stripe cheat line in green, white, and red along the lower fuselage below the windows — the Mexican tricolor. "FUERZA AÉREA MEXICANA" and "TRANSFORMANDO A MÉXICO" in dark text below and behind the cockpit, with Mexican flag decals. Tail fin shows the Mexican national flag in full: green leading edge, white center section bearing the national coat of arms (eagle devouring a serpent on a cactus), red trailing edge. "TP-01" in green on the white tail section. White engine nacelles with silver intakes. Raked wingtips characteristic of the 787.
Model & Collectibility
NG Models NG59022 at 1:400 diecast. Presidential government transport subjects are a perennial collector niche — TP-01 represents one of only a handful of 787s ever configured for a head-of-state role, making this among the more distinctive VIP variants in the 787 diecast catalog.
