1:400 Diecast: KLM Airbus A321neo PH-AXA "Koninginnepage / Swallowtail" (NG Models NG13109)

PH-AXA carries MSN 11895, an Airbus A321-252NX delivered to KLM Royal Dutch Airlines on 27 August 2024 in Hamburg — the first A321neo in KLM's history. Named "Koninginnepage" (Dutch for Swallowtail butterfly, reflecting KLM's tradition of naming aircraft after animals), this aircraft is powered by two CFM LEAP-1A30 engines and was leased from CDB Aviation. PH-AXA entered service immediately after delivery on European routes from Amsterdam Schiphol.

Livery & Visual Details

The upper fuselage is KLM's signature medium-to-dark blue, wrapping from nose to tail and covering the nose cone. The lower half is white, with a clean horizontal divide just below the window line. The forward fuselage carries "KLM" in large blue capital letters with the crown logo above the "K," alongside "Royal Dutch Airlines" in smaller blue text. Registration "PH-AXA" appears in black below the rear cabin windows, followed by a small Dutch flag (red, white, blue vertical stripes). The vertical stabilizer is white, displaying the large KLM crown-and-lettering logo in blue. On each engine nacelle, a smaller KLM crown logo is visible on the lower forward cowl. The model features sharklets — Airbus's tall blended wingtip devices standard on the A321neo — outer surfaces white, inner surfaces blue. Engine nacelles are white with silver intake lips.
