1:200 Diecast: Honeywell Boeing 757-200 N757HW "Flying Test Bed" (NG Models NG42040)
N757HW carries MSN 22194, line number 5—the fifth Boeing 757 ever manufactured. First flew 4 February 1983; delivered to Eastern Air Lines as N504EA on 28 February 1983. After service with Eastern, the airframe was registered as G-JALC and operated by Airtours International from February 1995, then MyTravel Airways from May 2002. Honeywell acquired the aircraft in 2005, re-registering it N757HW and converting it into a Flying Test Bed for aerospace technology development. The "UNITED AIRLINES" legend visible on the model represents an earlier test-period title; "Honeywell Test Aircraft" is also displayed on the lower forward fuselage. As of this model's production, N757HW had logged over 800 test flights and more than 3,000 flight test hours globally.
Livery & Visual Detail
White fuselage with a bold red horizontal stripe running below the cabin windows from nose to tail cone, curving upward onto the vertical stabilizer. "Honeywell" wordmark in the brand's characteristic red lettering on the lower forward port fuselage, with "Test Aircraft" in smaller red text below. "UNITED AIRLINES" in black on the upper forward fuselage—reflecting a historical test configuration title. "N757HW" in red on the aft lower fuselage. A stylized red "72" logo near the forward cabin door. The wings have dark gray-black coloring on the outer sections and undersides. Standard 757-200 wingtips—no winglets. The 757-200 carries two underwing Rolls-Royce RB211-535E4 engines.
Model Craft & Collectibility
NG Models NG42040 renders N757HW in 1:200 diecast metal—a scale appropriate for a historically significant airframe. The fifth 757 ever built, N757HW has spent more than two decades as Honeywell's principal airborne laboratory, testing avionics, engines, and flight management systems. Test aircraft with documented histories attract collectors operating at the intersection of aviation history and aerospace technology. At 23.66 cm in 1:200, this model conveys the 757's elongated fuselage character.
