D-AEWM, construction number 7259, entered Eurowings service on September 15, 2016. In February 2025, the aircraft was repainted in its third iteration of the Borussia Dortmund "MannschaftsAirbus" livery at Münster/Osnabrück Airport — the new version debuted a world aviation first: "BVB09" lettering across the entire fuselage applied in a novel matte varnish used in civil aviation for the first time. The original BVB Airbus premiered in 2016; this release represents the current 2025 scheme.

Livery & Visual Details

The fuselage is painted overall in deep black — Borussia Dortmund's primary club color. "Eurowings" appears in white on the forward upper fuselage, with "MANNSCHAFTSAIRBUS" in smaller white capitals below. "BORUSSIA DORTMUND" runs across the mid-to-rear fuselage in bold yellow. Large stylized dark-grey graphical elements extend from the cockpit to the tail. The vertical stabilizer is black with a yellow BVB 09 club badge at center — a yellow circle with the angular BVB emblem. Sharklets are black on the outer surface. Engine nacelles carry CFM56-5B4/3 engines with white cowlings and dark exhaust nozzles. Registration D-AEWM in small white on the aft fuselage.
