1:400 Diecast: Delta Air Lines Airbus A350-900 N527DN "100 Years" (NG Models NG39106)

N527DN carries MSN 720, Delta Air Lines' first Airbus A350-941 delivered specifically to wear the carrier's centennial special livery. Toulouse handed the jet to Atlanta on 28 March 2025 — the delivery ferry flight itself made headlines as the aircraft's "100 Years" scheme had been four years in design. Service entry followed on 1 May 2025. The registration N527DN entered Delta's fleet at a symbolic moment: the airline's founding dates to 1925 in Macon, Georgia, making this aircraft a rolling monument to a century of U.S. commercial aviation.

Livery & Visual Details

The livery pairs a gloss-white forward fuselage with a sweeping multi-tone blue and silver gradient that intensifies toward the rear, leaving the aft section and engine nacelles in solid deep navy. The vertical stabilizer carries angular faceted panels in lighter blue and grey — a geometric motif unique to this centennial scheme. "100 YEARS" appears in large metallic silver characters on the forward port fuselage, flanked by the red Delta widget and DELTA wordmark. Registration N527DN is printed in dark blue on the aft port fuselage above a U.S. flag decal. Wingtips are Sharklets — the curved, integrated upswept extensions standard to the A350.

Model Craftsmanship & Collector Value

NG Models cast this release as NG39106, capturing the centennial paint scheme at 1:400 scale in diecast metal. The "100 Years" livery is a limited commemorative issue tied to a specific calendar event, giving it a fixed release window that will not recur. NG Models' A350 tooling reproduces the aircraft's characteristic composite-blended fuselage cross-section and the Sharklets that distinguish it from the A330. Model dimensions: 16.7 cm length × 16.19 cm wingspan.
