N522DZ is an Airbus A350-941 with MSN 673, ferried from Toulouse (TLS) to Atlanta (ATL) on 25 July 2024 and entered into service on 11 August 2024. From new delivery, the aircraft wore the special "LA28" livery commissioned to promote Delta's role as an official airline partner of the 2028 Los Angeles Olympic Games. Powered by two Rolls-Royce Trent XWB-84 engines, N522DZ operates long-haul services from Delta's Atlanta hub. NG Models released this as an ULTIMATE-series model under item number NG39071.

Livery & Visual Details

The LA28 scheme is a full-fuselage wrap. Forward fuselage top is white. Below the window line, a gradient runs from gold/orange at the nose, through red, into deep navy blue covering the entire rear fuselage and underside. White star-like dots scatter across the navy sections. "DELTA" in red with the red widget logo sits on the white upper-forward fuselage. On the navy aft section: a large bold white "28," an LA28 emblem logo, a small US flag, and the registration "N522DZ" in white. Two black athlete silhouettes and black palm-tree silhouettes appear on the mid-fuselage at the colour transition. Navy blue lower engine nacelles mirror the fuselage gradient. Raked wingtips. Landing gear retracted — in-flight configuration. Wingspan model: 16.19 cm.
