B-2156 (MSN 28650, line number 932) was built as a Boeing 737-66N — a 600-series variant leased through GECAS — and delivered to China Southwest Airlines on 31 August 2001. The airline merged into Air China in March 2003, and B-2156 transferred to the Air China fleet. The airframe was withdrawn from service in December 2008. Its story did not end there: the jet was later reregistered N869HH and entered service with EG&G / Janet Airlines, the classified carrier that shuttles personnel to restricted facilities in Nevada, giving this particular 737-600 an unusually layered operational history.
Livery & Visual Details
The model captures B-2156 in China Southwest's final corporate livery. The white fuselage carries a blue and red compound cheatline that thickens from nose toward tail. "中国西南航空" appears in blue on the forward fuselage above the smaller "CHINA SOUTHWEST AIRLINES" logotype. The vertical stabilizer displays a stylized blue bird emblem set against red diagonal bands on a white upper field, with "B-2156" stenciled on the upper tail. Wingtips are clean without winglet devices, consistent with the 737-600 configuration. Engine nacelles are medium gray.

NG Models released NG06012 in December 2024 — a new tooling release capturing the 737-600 airframe at 1:200 scale in diecast metal. China Southwest Airlines operated a very limited number of -600 variants before the carrier dissolved; models of this operator and sub-type combination are rare in the secondary market. The item number NG06012 is verified against the NG Models catalog.
