B-2155 holds a documented first: delivered to China Southwest Airlines in July 2001, it was the first Boeing 737-600 ever operated in China. Boeing issued a formal press release on July 20, 2001 marking the occasion. China Southwest acquired three 737-600s in 2001 before the airline merged into Air China in late 2002. B-2155 subsequently transferred to Air China and later appeared in the United States register as N319BD, operated by EG&G for government contract work. The 737-600 itself is one of commercial aviation's rarest narrowbodies — only 69 were delivered worldwide.

Livery & Visual Details

The model depicts China Southwest's classic livery: white upper fuselage with a grey belly. A tri-stripe cheatline — thin red, thick dark blue, thin red — runs the full fuselage length at window level, curving upward at the tail. Chinese characters reading "zhōngguó xīnán hángkōng" (China Southwest Airlines, rendered on the model in black on the forward fuselage) appear above the English "CHINA SOUTHWEST AIRLINES" lettering. Registration B-2155 sits below the cockpit windows. The vertical stabilizer is grey with the red/blue stripe sweeping up from the cheatline. A circular logo on the upper fin depicts a stylized bird in blue against a white circle with a blue ring. Wing upper surfaces carry the airline name in grey Chinese characters. Engine nacelles are grey — CFM56 engines. Wingtips are standard (no winglets), with orange-painted wingtip ends.
