B-919J is China Southern's first C919, and the significance extends beyond one airline. Delivered from COMAC's Shanghai Pudong facility on August 28, 2024, in a joint ceremony with Air China, this aircraft entered commercial service on September 19, 2024, operating CZ3539 from Guangzhou Baiyun to Shanghai — the first revenue flight for China Southern with China's domestically developed narrowbody. The C919-100 is powered exclusively by CFM LEAP-1C engines, and B-919J carries MSN 18 in the production sequence. The registration itself was chosen deliberately: B-919J, with "J" marking it as the airline's inaugural example.

NG Models captured China Southern's current livery on the C919 airframe. The fuselage is white above a dual blue horizontal band along the lower fuselage — a deeper blue primary stripe with a lighter blue accent beneath it. The vertical stabilizer is solid bright sky blue, centered with China Southern's kapok flower logo in red. "CHINA SOUTHERN" runs in black along the mid-fuselage above the blue stripe, followed by Chinese characters reading the airline's full name. On the nose below the cockpit windows the model designation "C919" appears in stylized red. The C919's blended winglets are faithfully rendered with blue-painted tips matching the tail. CFM LEAP-1C nacelles are white, mounted under the mid-fuselage positioned wings. Landing gear deployed. The dark blue nose radome outline and cockpit anti-glare treatment are correctly represented.
