B-2099 holds MSN 43219 (line number 1173) and was delivered to China Southern Airlines on February 25, 2014, as the carrier's first-ever Boeing 777-300ER. Boeing and China Southern marked the handover at Everett with a joint ceremony. The aircraft entered service in March 2014, initially deployed on the Guangzhou–New York JFK route — China Southern's first 777-300ER transpacific service.

Livery & Visual Details

The fuselage is white with a thin dark-blue horizontal stripe running along the lower cabin. The vertical stabilizer is painted sky blue with the China Southern kapok-flower logo centered on it — a stylized red and gold blossom framed by gold outlines. "CHINA SOUTHERN" runs above the window line in black uppercase, followed by the Chinese characters "中国南方航空" in matching black. The registration "B-2099" and "BOEING 777-300ER" appear near the rear fuselage in black. The 777's characteristic raked wingtips are visible. Two large GE90 engines hang under the wing on pylons, finished in light grey.

The diecast metal frame captures the 777's wide-body proportions, with the distinctive six-wheel main bogie arrangement replicated in the landing gear. B-2099 represents an operationally significant airframe — China Southern's inaugural 777ER — making it a natural anchor piece for any China Southern or 777 collection.
