Registration B-2052, MSN 27358, line number 24, rolled out of Boeing's Everett factory and completed its first flight on February 9, 1996. China Southern Airlines took delivery on February 28, 1996, making this airframe one of the carrier's earliest widebody 777-200 acquisitions. Powered by two General Electric GE90-85B turbofans — the engine China Southern selected for its 777-200 fleet rather than the Rolls-Royce or Pratt & Whitney alternatives — B-2052 operated transcontinental and transpacific routes before entering storage in March 2017. The airframe was scrapped in June 2018 after 22 years of service, a lifespan that covered China Southern's formative era as a long-haul carrier.

Livery & Visual Detail

The model renders the standard China Southern livery as applied to B-2052 during active service. The fuselage is white, with a thin dark-blue stripe running along the lower windowline. "CHINA SOUTHERN" appears in bold dark-blue capital letters below the windows on the mid-fuselage; to the right, Chinese characters reading Zhongguó Nánfāng Hángkōng continue across toward the tail in the same dark-blue font. The text "BOEING 777" is printed in a smaller dark-blue typeface near the nose. Registration B-2052 appears in dark blue above the forward windowline. The vertical stabilizer is solid medium blue, centered with the airline's red Kapok-flower emblem — the official flower of Guangzhou, China Southern's home city. The wingtips are straight with no winglets or sharklets, as delivered configuration for the 777-21B. Engine nacelles are rendered in metallic silver-grey.
