B-656Z holds MSN 10145 and was delivered to China Eastern Airlines in December 2024. Previously registered B-001W during production testing, the aircraft carries the C909 type designation that COMAC officially adopted at the Zhuhai Airshow in November 2024 — effectively making B-656Z one of the first China Eastern aircraft delivered under the C909 branding rather than the earlier ARJ21 name.

Livery & Visual Details

The fuselage is white with China Eastern's standard livery. The vertical stabilizer displays the airline's red-and-blue swallow logo on a white background — a red arcing swoosh paired with a blue crescent, together suggesting a bird in flight. "CHINA EASTERN" runs on the forward fuselage in dark text, followed by the Chinese characters "中国东方航空." "C909" appears in red near the cockpit nose.
