Registration B-206K, MSN 63709 (Line Number 761), was delivered to China Eastern Yunnan Airlines on 1 November 2018, ferrying from Boeing's North Charleston facility via Tianjin (TSN) before arriving at Shanghai Pudong (PVG). It entered service as the first 787-9 in the Yunnan Branch fleet — one of only three Boeing 787-9s operated under the China Eastern Yunnan (云南公司) sub-brand, based in Kunming. Powered by two General Electric GEnx-1B high-bypass turbofan engines, B-206K flew long-haul routes from Kunming Changshui (KMG), including international services to Southeast Asia and beyond. NG55138 marks the first-ever 1:400 diecast release of a China Eastern 787-9 in this configuration.

Livery & Visual Detail

The model carries China Eastern's standard white fuselage scheme. Red Chinese characters reading "中国东方航空" run above the cabin windows on the forward fuselage; bold blue English lettering reading "CHINA EASTERN" appears below the window line. Distinctively, red Chinese characters reading "云南公司" (Yunnan Branch) are applied aft of mid-fuselage — the key visual identifier separating B-206K from the standard China Eastern fleet. The registration "B-206K" and "DREAMLINER" appear in blue on the rear fuselage. The tail fin carries China Eastern's red and blue flying-swallow logo on a white fin. Wing tips are 787-native raked swept tips, distinct from sharklets. Engine nacelles are white with silver-chrome inlets and plain exhaust nozzles.
