B-18918, MSN 239, is the 14th and final Airbus A350-900 delivered under China Airlines' original A350 order, ferried from Toulouse to Taipei on 22–23 October 2018. It entered revenue service on 26 October 2018. As the closing aircraft of a major fleet renewal program, Airbus and China Airlines jointly designed the "Carbon Fibre" special livery to highlight the A350's composite airframe — approximately 53% of the A350's structure by weight is carbon fiber reinforced polymer. B-18918 is the only aircraft in the China Airlines fleet wearing this scheme.

Livery & Visual Details

The model reproduces the Carbon Fibre livery, which is both visually striking and technically meaningful. The forward fuselage is gloss white, with "CHINA AIRLINES" in dark navy followed by the red plum blossom logo. Above the wing root, "AIRBUS" in white and "A350" in silver-lavender are prominently displayed. The rear fuselage carries the defining feature: an interlocking ribbon pattern of interlaced parallelogram bands in multiple shades of royal blue, sky blue, periwinkle, and lavender-purple with white edge highlights, giving a depth and shimmer that evokes woven carbon fiber composite structure. The pattern wraps continuously around the aft fuselage. The vertical stabilizer is white with China Airlines' vivid red-orange plum blossom corporate emblem. Raked wingtips are white with a blue-purple inner accent face. Engine nacelles are light metallic silver-grey with polished chrome intake lips.

NG Models NG39101 documents a single-aircraft special livery that has no operational successor: now that China Airlines' A350 order is closed, B-18918 is the permanent sole carrier of this scheme. The multi-tone blue ribbon pattern requires meticulous tampo printing precision across a large fuselage area, and the gradient shading from deep royal blue to pale periwinkle is a benchmark for NG Models' color reproduction capability at 1:400.
