Boeing 737-85C(WL) registered B-5656 carries MSN 38393 (Line Number 4135) and was delivered to XiamenAir on 8 August 2012. On 5 August 2020 the aircraft inaugurated XiamenAir's routes to Beijing Daxing International Airport operating flight MF8117 (Xiamen–Daxing) dressed in a purpose-built commemorative livery. The scheme's Chinese theme, rendered as "容乃大，和则兴" (Tolerance brings greatness, harmony brings prosperity), celebrates the carrier's inaugural services at the then-new Daxing gateway.
