1:400 Diecast: EVA Air Boeing 777-300ER B-16740 "Sanrio Characters Lolly Jet" (NG Models EVA047)

B-16740, MSN 63529, was delivered to EVA Air on 21 September 2017 from Boeing's Everett facility. The airframe is a 777-35E(ER), the variant EVA operates on its longest routes. In December 2024 the aircraft completed repainting into the Sanrio Characters "Lolly Jet" scheme, with its inaugural painted flight on 26 December 2024 operating the Taipei–Paris route — making it the most recently decorated member of EVA's Sanrio fleet at time of this model's release.

Livery & Visual Detail

The fuselage is white, covered along the lower half and forward sections with full-colour Sanrio characters: Hello Kitty dominates the nose in large format, with My Melody, Little Twin Stars (Kiki and Lala on white clouds), Pompompurin, and Kuromi distributed toward the tail. Multi-coloured hearts, stars, and speech-bubble shapes fill the remaining space. "EVA AIR" in green sits above the character artwork mid-fuselage, with "Sanrio characters" in pink script alongside. The vertical stabiliser is bright green with EVA's white globe-and-bird emblem. Registration B-16740 marked below the cockpit. Raked wingtips confirmed. No chevron nozzles on the engine exhaust. The model is presented with landing gear retracted on a display stand.

Model Craft & Collector Value

EVA Air's Sanrio programme began in 2005 and has run continuously, but the 777-300ER carrying a dedicated full-roster "characters" scheme — rather than a single-character wrap — represents a newer chapter in the collaboration. The Lolly Jet theme launched in the fourth-generation 2024 refresh alongside the "Besties Jet" (B-16722) and "Pinky Jet" (B-16217). This NG Models edition documents the -35E(ER) subtype with the December 2024 character arrangement.
