1:200 Diecast: China Southern Airlines Comac C909 B-658K (NG Models NG24189)

Comac C909 registered B-658K carries MSN 10178, was delivered from Shanghai Pudong to Guangzhou on 27 March 2025, and entered commercial service with China Southern Airlines on 4 April 2025. The C909 — the rebranded ARJ21-700 — is China's first domestically produced regional jet in airline service, powered by two General Electric CF34-10A turbofans mounted on the rear fuselage in a T-tail configuration inherited from the MD-80 design lineage. B-658K represents one of the most recent deliveries in an expanding China Southern C909 fleet.

Livery & Visual Details

The fuselage is white with a bold blue stripe running horizontally along the lower-mid section, a blue nose band, and matching blue accents on the winglet tips and horizontal stabiliser tips. Chinese characters reading "中国南方航空" followed by "CHINA SOUTHERN" appear in black on the forward upper fuselage. "C909" is printed in red below the cockpit windows, and the registration B-658K and "COMAC C909" appear in black on the mid-fuselage. The vertical stabiliser is entirely blue, displaying the China Southern Kapok flower logo in white. The two rear-fuselage-mounted engines carry white nacelles with a thin blue band. The T-tail places the horizontal stabiliser at the vertical fin apex, a configuration clearly reproduced on the model. Blended winglets arc upward from both wingtips with small blue tip accents.

As one of the first scale models of the C909 in China Southern colours, NG24189 documents a historically significant machine: the first indigenously developed Chinese regional jet reaching widespread airline service, in a batch delivered as recently as early 2025.
