1:400 Diecast: China Airlines Boeing 747-209F B-160 "Dynasty Cargo" (Kylin Model K742CAL01)

B-160 (MSN 24308, Line 752) was delivered to China Airlines Cargo on 29 August 1989, its first flight having taken place on 13 August of the same year. Powered by four Pratt & Whitney JT9D turbofans, this 747-209F/SCD served the carrier's transpacific and Asian freight routes through the 1990s before being re-registered as B-18771 and subsequently transferred to Dragonair. The airframe's decade-long Dynasty Cargo service places it among the most recognisable early-generation 747 freighters to carry the China Airlines livery.

Livery & Visual Detail

The model faithfully renders the all-white fuselage broken by a red-over-blue cheatline that curves upward toward the tail. "CHINA AIRLINES" and the Chinese characters reading "中華航空公司" appear in dark blue on the forward fuselage; "Dynasty Cargo" lettering in red and the Chinese characters reading "華胎运" are visible mid-aft. The tail carries the blue-C-with-red-stripe logo topped by a Republic of China flag decal, with registration B-160 in dark blue below. Freighter configuration is confirmed: no passenger-window row, upper-deck hump is present. No winglets—classic 747-200 raked tips. All four engine nacelles in silver-grey.
