9V-MBA, MSN 44246 (line number 6535), was delivered to SilkAir on September 30, 2017 — the first Boeing 737 MAX 8 to enter the Singapore Airlines Group fleet. The aircraft departed Boeing's Renton factory on September 28, 2017, ferrying via Kona and Guam to Singapore. When SilkAir merged into Singapore Airlines on February 1, 2021, this aircraft transferred to the parent carrier's operating certificate, with the registration re-assigned to Singapore Airlines on November 23, 2021. It now operates on Singapore Airlines' regional narrowbody network powered by two CFM International LEAP-1B engines.

Livery & Visual Details

"SINGAPORE AIRLINES" in dark text appears on the forward fuselage. The livery scheme features a predominantly white fuselage with Singapore Airlines' signature multi-stripe cheatline in brown and gold running below the window line. The vertical stabilizer is dark blue with the gold/orange Singapore Airlines bird logo (the Kris Bird). The raked wingtips carry the same dark blue and gold/orange accent finish matching the tail.
