1:200 Diecast: Shanghai Airlines Boeing 737 MAX 8 B-1379 (JC Wings LH2133)

B-1379 carries MSN 61622 (Line 6521), delivered from Boeing Field, Seattle on 30 November 2017 — among the first 737 MAX 8 aircraft delivered to a Chinese carrier. Shanghai Airlines, a wholly owned subsidiary of China Eastern Airlines operating under its own brand and livery, placed among the early MAX operators in China. The aircraft entered service on trans-China routes from Shanghai Hongqiao.

Livery & Visual Details

The fuselage is white with a broad red cheatline running from nose to tail along the lower cabin, with a thin dark border above. Chinese characters reading "Shanghai Airlines" appear in black on the forward upper fuselage, followed by "SHANGHAI AIRLINES" in the same black type. Registration "B-1379" is printed in black on the rear fuselage above the cheatline. The all-red vertical stabilizer carries the white stylized Shanghai Airlines "S" mark. Split scimitar winglets are painted solid red on both upper and lower blades, extending the house color to the wingtips. The two CFM LEAP-1B turbofan engines show characteristic chevron nozzles on the nacelle trailing edge. Display stand included with airline name, type, and scale markings.

Model Craft & Collectability

JC Wings produced LH2133 at 1:200 scale in diecast metal with pre-applied antenna details and a display stand. This is an early 737 MAX 8 release in Shanghai Airlines livery, issued in 2018 shortly after the type entered service. The MAX 8's subsequent global grounding (March 2019 to December 2020) and return to service makes pre-grounding issue models a distinct reference point for MAX collectors.
