1:400 Diecast: Scoot Airbus A321neo 9V-NCA (JC Wings). This aircraft holds the distinction of being the first A321neo to enter service with Scoot, Singapore Airlines' low-cost subsidiary. Delivered in late May 2021 (MSN 10229), 9V-NCA was ferried from Hamburg-Finkenwerder to Singapore via Dubai-World Central alongside sister ship 9V-NCB on May 29. On June 28, 2021, it operated its maiden revenue flight as TR610 from Singapore to Bangkok Suvarnabhumi, marking Scoot's entry into the A321neo era.
Named "Wings of Change": Scoot gave 9V-NCA the fitting nickname "Wings of Change," reflecting its role in the airline's fleet renewal strategy. Configured in an all-economy layout with 236 seats—close to the type's maximum capacity of 244—it features Recaro seats and offers up to six hours of range, bridging the gap between Scoot's 180-seat A320s and its 335-seat Boeing 787 Dreamliners. Powered by Pratt & Whitney PW1100G-JM engines, the A321neo delivers significantly lower fuel consumption and emissions compared to older narrowbodies.
Expanding the network: Following its Bangkok debut, 9V-NCA quickly expanded Scoot's reach, opening routes to Cebu, Ho Chi Minh City, and eventually Perth in June 2022—the type's first Australian destination. By mid-2025, Scoot continued to grow its A321neo fleet, with 9V-NCA remaining in active service across Southeast Asia, North Asia, and Australia, including regular operations to destinations such as Penang and Ningbo.
About this model: JC Wings released 9V-NCA in 1:400 scale, capturing Scoot's distinctive yellow and white livery with the airline's signature "Scootitude" branding. The model features detailed Pratt & Whitney PW1100G engine fans with their distinctive chevrons and the A321neo's characteristic Sharklet wingtips. At 11.13 cm long, it's an accurate representation of the first A321neo to wear Scoot colors. For collectors of Singaporean aviation, low-cost carrier fleets, or next-generation narrowbodies, this represents a significant fleet milestone.
