PH-BXC is a Boeing 737-8K2, MSN 29133 (line number 305), delivered to KLM Royal Dutch Airlines on 30 June 1999, making it one of the earliest Boeing 737-800s in KLM's fleet. KLM named the aircraft "Grouse / Korhoen" following the airline's tradition of assigning bird names in both English and Dutch to its short-haul fleet. Blended winglets were retrofitted to PH-BXC in February 2008, upgrading the airframe to the 737-8K2(WL) standard and improving fuel efficiency on KLM's European and regional routes. The aircraft flew KLM services for over two decades before KLM began retiring its 737-800 fleet from late 2025.

The model captures KLM's current livery: white fuselage with a medium blue window stripe, deeper blue on the nose cone, and the iconic KLM crown logo in blue on the tail—white background, four-dot crown above the stylised "KLM" letters.
