Boeing 737-286 Adv registered EP-IRF carries MSN 20498, line number 283. Delivered to Iran Air on 2 July 1971, this early-generation 737-200 served the carrier for over four decades before retirement and scrapping around January 2015—a service life of 43 years. Two Pratt & Whitney JT8D-15 turbofans power the airframe, the standard engine fit for the 737-200 Advanced.

Livery & Visual Details

The classic Iran Air livery presents a white fuselage with a dark blue cheatline edged in gold running the length of the cabin. "IRAN AIR" appears in dark blue capital letters on the forward fuselage; Persian text (هواپیمایی ملی ایران) reads alongside it. The vertical stabilizer is predominantly dark blue, displaying the Homa bird—Iran Air's mythological griffin emblem—rendered in white, with the Iranian flag at the fin tip. Engine nacelles are painted silver-grey under the low-slung JT8D pods characteristic of early 737-100/200 series. Straight-cut wingtips with no winglets are consistent with the original 737-200 wing design.

JC Wings produced LH2341 in diecast alloy at 1:200 scale. The model captures the original pre-1980s Iran Air livery with the Homa bird tail marking. A display stand is included. The 737-200 Adv with classic Iran Air colours is a historically significant livery for classic-jet collectors.
