ET-BAW, MSN 691, is the first Airbus A350-1000 ever delivered to an African carrier. Ethiopian Airlines received it at Toulouse-Blagnac on November 5, 2024, making ET-BAW the flag-bearer for the type's African debut. The A350-1041 variant seats up to 369 passengers in Ethiopian's three-class configuration and extends the airline's intercontinental reach with routes to North America and Asia. MSN 691 flew under the test registration F-WWXL before delivery.

Livery & Visual Details

The model carries Ethiopian's current livery on a white fuselage. "Ethiopian" in large red script appears on the forward cabin. The Ethiopian lion-head logo in yellow with green accents is positioned beneath the cockpit windows. Amharic script reads "ኢትዮጵያ" above the English text "Ethiopia / Land of Origins" on the mid-fuselage. The vertical stabilizer shows three horizontal stripes—green top, yellow middle, red bottom—with a small stylized lion at the upper fin edge. The wingtips are the A350's characteristic blended upswept extensions incorporating green-yellow-red Ethiopian flag colors at the leading edge. The registration ET-BAW is visible in small black text on the lower rear fuselage. Engine nacelles are white with no visible chevrons on the smooth exhaust nozzles.
