VR-HOD, MSN 193A-1043, is a Lockheed L-1011 TriStar 1 that operated with Cathay Pacific until 1 July 1990, then transferred to Dragonair for the period covering 1 July 1990 through 18 November 1993, before returning to Cathay Pacific. Built to the L-1011-385-1 specification, the airframe carried the distinctive Hong Kong "VP-H" prefix registration across two separate Cathay/Dragonair stints — a cross-carrier history that makes VR-HOD one of the more documented TriStar fuselages from the Kai Tak era.
