Airbus A330-342 registered B-HYF carries MSN 234, with a first flight date of 22 September 1998. The aircraft was delivered to Dragonair and operated the carrier's long-haul routes out of Hong Kong Chek Lap Kok throughout the 2000s and 2010s, later passing to Cathay Dragon before the brand was retired in October 2020. Two Rolls-Royce Trent 772-60 turbofans power the airframe.

Livery & Visual Details

The "Serving You for 25 Years" anniversary livery is one of the most visually complex liveries ever applied to a Dragonair aircraft. A large golden-brown dragon wraps around the forward fuselage, accompanied by bands of stylised Chinese calligraphy covering the fuselage in a scroll effect. "DRAGONAIR" appears in red script above the windows, with the red anniversary slogan below. The vertical stabilizer carries the classic red Dragonair dragon logo on a white fin. Engine nacelles repeat the red dragon motif on their outer faces. Wingtips are classic raked style; undersides are painted red.

Model Craft & Collectibility

JC Wings produced EW2333005 in diecast alloy at 1:200 scale. The model captures the elaborate fuselage artwork with tampo-printed Chinese calligraphy and dragon graphics. A display stand is included. This release is now sold out and discontinued through major retailers, reinforcing its secondary-market appeal as a commemorative piece.
