Registered B-001J as a factory production aircraft, it rolled out in China Eastern colors as early as May 2022 — months before COMAC received CAAC type certification on September 29, 2022. On December 9, 2022, the aircraft was officially delivered to China Eastern Airlines in Shanghai, re-registered as B-919A, and entered revenue service on May 28, 2023, operating MU9191 from Shanghai Hongqiao to Beijing Capital. Powered by two CFM International LEAP-1C turbofan engines, the C919 carries 164 passengers in a two-class layout (8 business, 156 economy) — a configuration slightly larger than China Eastern's A320s. Livery & Visual Detail

The model replicates the early delivery livery: gloss white fuselage, light gray wings and engine pylons. "CHINA EASTERN" in dark blue and Chinese characters reading "中國東方航空" in red run above the window line on the forward fuselage. "C919" appears in black below the cockpit windows; "COMAC C919" in black near the tail. The registration B-001J is applied in red below the windows, repeated in black on the wing upper surface. The vertical stabilizer carries China Eastern's red-and-blue swallow logo. Distinctive red commemorative seal-style stamps appear on the nose area — visible in all three product images — marking the first production airframe.
