1:400 Diecast: British Airways ATR 72-200 G-BYTP "Colum" (JC Wings XX40266)

G-BYTP is an ATR 72-212, MSN 473, delivered to CityFlyer Express on 30 April 1999. CityFlyer operated the aircraft on British Airways franchise routes from London Gatwick, wearing full BA livery including the carrier's "World Images" tail art program. G-BYTP carried the "Colum" design — a Celtic interlace pattern representing Ireland — on its vertical stabilizer, one of approximately 50 different World Images tail treatments applied across the BA fleet in the late 1990s. The aircraft left the BA franchise system in March 2004, subsequently becoming CU-T1545 with Aero Caribbean.

Livery & Visual Detail

JC Wings renders the World Images scheme accurately: white fuselage with "BRITISH AIRWAYS" in blue capitals near the nose. "Ireland" is lettered above the passenger windows mid-fuselage. Registration "G-BYTP" in blue sits below the window line. The tail fin carries the "Colum" Celtic knot artwork — a dense geometric interlace pattern in green, blue, yellow, orange, and red on white — one of the most visually complex designs in the entire World Images series. The two Pratt & Whitney Canada PW127 turboprop engines each drive a four-bladed propeller; JC Wings renders the blades in dark grey with orange tips. Engine nacelles are white.
